Accelerating future careers for ambitious students Delta Careers is offering educational, online and global Work-Experience Programs and courses to accelerate future careers for ambitious high school students with companies like Uber, PwC etc. As part of our mission to develop holistic individuals, CGA offers a wide variety of Work-Experience Programs to develop the next generation of high-performing talent. These provide real-world experience to high school students and allow them an opportunity to interact with industry mentors. 
 
Besides offering world-class extracurricular activities, we partner with global companies to offer high school students an opportunity to learn through projects. The Work-Experience Programs and live careers training courses offer students an opportunity to explore a career before they go to university where they have to commit to a field of study. Every participating student also receives a reference letter written signed by a company representative. Engineering Work-Experience Program
1 month Engineering Work-Experience Program powered by Delta Careers. A practical work experience program designed for high school students interested in a career in engineering.
 
You will be part of a smart and ambitious cohort of top high school students all around the world. This program is recommended to students who are interested in engineering both academically and professionally. By the end of the program, you will be equipped with fundamental engineering skills and would have developed a sound engineering mind. 
 
What you will do:
You will be trained in fundamental skills such as product management, product design and mechanical engineering. You will then help resolve solve a major engineering problem.
 
Core Competencies:
 
Product Management
Learn how to merge business acumen, technical skills and customer desires to this new product to success at Ferrari. This will entail a hands-on customer discovery process, followed by strategic analysis and implementation through delivering your findings.
 
Product Design
After addressing the business case for the product, you will delve deeper into the product design. This includes learning how to partake in the User Experience (UX) discovery process and designing the User Interface (UI). Particularly, you will learn how to redesign a specific aspect of Ferrari's family of products, taking into account feasibility and stakeholder wishes. 
 
Mechanical Engineering
Upon addressing the market need and design, work on developing the key features of the redesigned car part, taking into account feasibility constraints. In particular, you will work to apply theoretical mechanical engineering skills in a real-life situation, in an effort to address client demands both efficiently and effectively.  

 

Format
Program Outline:
 
Week 1
Orientation Week
Get introduced to the program, your mentors and Ferrari. You will learn how a firm like Ferrari operates and begin preliminary research on the program project.
 
Week 2
Competence Week
You will obtain all the required skills to complete the project. Through a series of skills lectures you will get a fully immersive learning experience and all the adequate skills.
 
Week 3
Development Week
You are now equipped with the adequate skillset to complete the program. Applying your knowledge onto the project in the context of Ferrari and working as a team is the focus. 
 
Week 4
Pitch Week
In your final week you will submit your project for mentor feedback. In the final night you will pitch your project and findings to Ferrari representatives and upon completion, receive a referral letter. 
 
Program Details:
•        4-5 students per team
•        15-20 hrs commitment per week
 
Tangible Outcomes:
•        Gaining practical experience in the engineering field.
•        Certificate of Completion upon completion
•        Building a global network of students, mentors and professionals
•        Gain a referral letter signed by the partner firm
