The César E. Chávez Leadership Institute seeks to improve access to higher education for Arizona high school students, a variety of enriching experiences emphasizing leadership development and civic engagement, while advocating for the completion of high school, attending college and educational opportunities at Arizona State University.

César E. Chávez Leadership Institute is a no-cost, one-week, residential summer leadership program at ASU for 60 high school students entering grades 11 and 12. This one-of-a-kind experience embraces community service, develops leadership skills and encourages civic engagement.
The program also fosters academic and personal success within a collaborative peer environment aimed at helping students develop critical thinking skills and leveraging these skills inside and outside the classroom.
