Apply to take undergraduate summer courses through LMU's Visiting Student Program and experience all that an LMU education has to offer. Keep your academic momentum going with a multitude of online, in-person and hybrid courses to choose from and experience our world-renowned, nationally-ranked academic programs and small class sizes taught by our global community of faculty scholars.

The Visiting Student Program supports current high school juniors who wish to pursue part-time undergraduate-level academic work during the summer term outside of a university degree program. Visiting Students may apply to take up to two courses at the same time at LMU. Please note that enrollment as a Visiting Student does not imply admission to candidacy for a degree.
Featured Summer Courses
Summer school at LMU consists of two consecutive 6-week sessions, each the equivalent of a 16-week semester. Final exams are included within each six-week session. The sessions do not overlap and students are welcome to attend both sessions. Because of the compressed nature of the classes, students are limited to 8 semester hours per session.
- Qualifying high school students may take a maximum of eight units in any one session.
- Check the LMU Bulletin for any course prerequisites; if there are any, please note in your application what prior coursework you have completed which meets those requirements.
- If you have questions about specific course content, contact the course instructor or department offering the course directly.
In summer 2023, courses will be conducted in online, on-campus, and hybrid formats.
Please note: You will not apply directly through the course search tool. Please note the CRN, subject, course number and section associated with your class choice as you will be asked to select the appropriate course from a pull-down menu on your application. Please also be aware that in summer 2023, courses will be conducted in online, on-campus, and hybrid formats. Please be sure to double check the course modailty and location before submitting your Visiting Student Program application.
