CMT's Summer Math Program for Young Scholars Program is an intensive online 3-week long summer program for mathematically talented high school students. It provides a mathematically rich environment to high school students interested in mathematics, and is designed to encourage them to consider careers in the mathematical sciences. In this program, selected high school students in grades 9 through 11 are introduced to undergraduate level math topics while building problem solving skills. In past years, topics included, but are not limited to number theory, group theory, graph theory, knots and surfaces, and computer science. All lectures will be led by Courant faculty. Each lecture will be followed by a problem session led by a graduate student teaching assistant where students will work collaboratively in groups. One session every week is set aside for mathematical games and puzzles. There is also a talk at the end of each day, covering topics about how math is used in different fields of science as well as college admissions and college life.
CMT's Summer Math Program for Young Scholars Program is an intensive online program.
Grade:
Students must be in their 9th, 10th or 11th grade.
Course:
Students must have taken Algebra I to apply. They should have passed the course with a minimum of B- or higher.

How to apply
1- To start your application, fill out the Summer Math Program for Young Scholars Application Creation Form. On this form, you will be asked to provide some basic information such as name, date of birth, and email, in order to create your account in our application system.
2- Upon submission of the Application Creation Form, you will receive an email containing a temporary PIN and instructions for finalizing your account setup. Please follow these steps carefully.
3- To resume your application, log into the Application Management page and proceed through the application. Please pay close attention to the information on the Instructions page for guidelines regarding submission of the application and any required supplemental documents.
4- After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Within a few days, you will receive a second email containing your NYU credentials and instructions for accessing your applicant portal, where you can check the status of your application and any missing documents.
*Applications will not be reviewed for admission until all documents are received.
