The program is designed for students who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in high school and who have an interest in enriching their mathematics education.



During the one-week program students will explore several branches of mathematics, including:
- Knot Theory
- Number Theory
- The mathematics of puzzles and games
- Cryptography - how public-key cryptography works and how to create your own codes
- An introduction to the mathematics of finance
- Statistics for the Biological Sciences
Why Summer mathematics? Students will attend lectures about topics in mathematics from experts in the field and will work on projects that will further their understanding of the topic. In addition, there will be fun and games with mathematics.
Why this program? You will be exposed to advanced subjects that you won't see in school. You will interact with students from other schools who are also fascinated by math. You will get to know professors on a one-on-one basis. And, most of all, you will have fun!
Students can participate in this hybrid course either in person or live via zoom.
Instructional Hours: Monday - Thursday - 9:15am - 4:45pm; there will be a lunch break
Friday - 9:15am - 12:45pm
Housing: Housing will not be offered for Summer 2023.
Students must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in the Fall of 2023.
The student fills out Application Form (see below). The teachers fill out Recommendation Forms (see below). Students need to share the link to this page with the teachers who need to fill out their recommendation forms.
Start and complete the application in one sitting. Be sure to have all attachments ready to submit with application:

2. Transcripts
3. Most recent report card
4. Free or Reduced lunch letter (if applicable).

Financial Aid
There are a limited number of full and/or partial scholarships are available to applicants who are eligible for the Federal free or reduced lunch program. Please submit a letter, on letterhead, from an official at the school district or the letter you received stating that you are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program in order to be considered for a scholarship. This letter MUST be included with your application.
